Accounting Manager Job Category : Accounting - Finance - Audit Job Location : Kansas City, Missouri Established manufacturing company in Kansas City, MO is currently interviewing for an experienced Accounting Manager to join this growing mid-sized organization and to provide accounting leadership and knowledge to complement the existing management team. The organization provides capital equipment and services worldwide to the building industry. Job Description   In this role, you will have the responsibility to: - Manage and own all financial aspects of a small-to-medium sized manufacturing company. - Improve the Accounting process, including the closing cycle. - Work with a family business or a closely held company. - Significantly improve cash, inventory and accounts receivable days sales outstanding. - Lead/Direct a small talented team as well as working “hands on”. - Analyze and present the income, balance sheet, and cash flow statements to ownership and management along with actionable recommendations for improvement. Job Requirements   To qualify for this position, the successful candidate will offer: - Manufacturing industry experience including product costing, inventory management, standard cost accounting. - BS in Accounting with a CPA. - Small-to-medium size business experience in a $10MM-$50MM business managing accounting staffs ranging from 2-5 people. - Hands-on experience and a proficient user of JD Edwards (or comparable system) and MS-Excel. - High degree of integrity, ethics, confidentiality, and trust - Experience with consolidations and management of multiple entities. Preferable to have some experience with international business. - Good problem solving skills and written/verbal communication skills This position offers a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
