Recruitment Enhancement Services is currently recruiting for a Senior Account Executive for an advertising agency that provides direct mail and response marketing services . Our client develops marketing campaigns using print, television, and interactive media in addition to mailings and it offers data collection and analytical services to measure each campaign's effectiveness. The firm operates through offices in London, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Job Description
  The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned account(s). Manages agency resources for the effective execution of client’s direct marketing strategies.

Ensure client needs and deliverables are met in accordance with approved timelines and budget allocations.

Clear, concise documentation of all client-related activities:
• Develop weekly status reports and conduct internal status meetings with all departments for which there is work in progress – creative, studio, production, traffic, media, decision sciences & interactive.

• Issue daily “hot sheet” via email outlining the day’s client/agency deliverables to all internal staff working on the business.

• Document actions/agreements/next steps for all client meetings via written conference reports. Obtain supervisor approval and distribute via e-mail (unless client requires hard copy) to appropriate agency departments and clients. Conference reports should be issued within 24 hours of client meeting.

• Write creative briefs for each creative assignment and obtain approval from supervisor and creative group head prior to sending client for approval. Once client approval is received, distribute to appropriate agency departments and clients.

• Fill-out “kick-off” form and conduct internal “kick-off” meetings for each new project.
Route materials in various stages for approval by client. Proofread all materials prior to sending client and take responsibility for the accuracy of final client deliverables. Check to ensure response mechanisms are live/working correctly (e.g. URL’s, 800#’s, accurate return address) and that client legal and privacy guidelines are strictly adhered to.

Maintain ongoing contact with counterpart(s) in the client’s organization
Manage client billing and invoicing process. Resolve discrepancies in job progression to ensure client satisfaction. Confirm invoice amounts are within approved estimate.

Manage and develop Account Executive(s). Oversee the integrity of all AE work. Conduct AE performance reviews with input from the client, DP department heads and other members of the account team. (Note: Senior AE to obtain Account Director approval prior to conducting AE review.)

Additional Responsibilities
Summarize competitive information, route to client services for approval and distribute to appropriate agency departments and clients.

Assist in preparation of direct marketing plans and recommendations.

Assist in development of a creative work plan for all new clients. Obtain approval from Creative Director and then client approval BEFORE initiating creative briefs.

Attend strategic development brainstorm sessions for all new initiatives for a given client (regardless of whether originated by client or agency)

Initiate market research when additional consumer insight is warranted. Summarize key
learning and consult with Account Supervisor/Director to evaluate, adjust, and redirect current DM plans.

Work with Analytics to track responses and create regular reports for distribution to appropriate agency departments and clients.

Work with Production to anticipate upfront postage needs, conduct postage reconciliation, and manage ongoing inventory and fulfillment processes (where applicable.).

Work with Media to develop and implement DM media buys.

Assist with creative production (TV/print shoots, radio development, etc.).

Manage/organize central team client files on agency server.

Facilitate effective team workflow and communication among agency departments (account services, creative, studio, production, traffic, accounting, media, interactive and decision sciences) as well as with clients and outside suppliers/marketing partners.
Job Requirements
  Experience/Education:
• 3 or more years DM experience OR 5+ years related ad agency or client side experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
