Job Description
Currently interviews are being scheduled for Registered Nurses (RNs) who are experienced in Intensive Care, Critical Care or Emergency Room. Functioning under the direction of the Nurse Manager , the RN will be responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. These units focus on the comprehensive, multidisciplinary care of the critically or seriously ill patient. The scope of practice embraces the intensive care patient-family unit and an environment in which education is provided. The units are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of the human response to life-threatening processes. Care is delivered to patients though interactive elements of the nursing process. Assessment of patient needs is accomplished by a hospital-wide multidisciplinary approach, utilizing data that are continually gathered and analyzed to determine the patient/family needs throughout the patient’s hospital stay.
Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, the selected candidate will be a graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing; have current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Georgia (or eligible to transfer nursing license from another U.S. state). A minimum of two years nursing experience in an acute care environment is required, along with recent experience in an intensive care/critical care or emergency department.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language, provide strong customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task is essential. Must have the ability to function in stressful and emergency situations and possess strong detail orientation. All RN's are required to pass a basic dysrhythmia test and become certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support within one year of employment.
