Recruitment Enhancement Services is seeking a Business Development Director for a leading digital full service interactive agency in the San Francisco area.
Job Description
The Business Development Director is responsible for bringing in new clients and opportunities. Specifically, this individual manages the sales process from initial contact through to closing the business. This can range from smaller opportunities to large, complex and strategic engagements. Also helps to plan and execute the marketing support needed to drive qualified opportunities and maintains a healthy sales pipeline.
Job Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and execute a sales plan to achieve company goals and targets
• Qualify incoming prospects based on pre-defined criteria established with the management team
• Lead internal team in client pitches and proposal creation
• Identify sector-specific sales strategies and pro-actively identify and engage key target clients
• Develop agency relationships within the network to drive sales and marketing support
• Work with creative team on developing sales materials (credentials, presentations, marketing materials, pitch creative, proposal templates, etc.)
• Support Business Development by providing evidence of agency’s experience in key areas including Marketing Collateral, Case Studies, Client References, etc.
• Track sales and client activity
• Build and maintain effective relationships with potential and current clients
• Represent agency at industry events and conferences
• Stay abreast of industry trends and issues
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s preferably in Business or related field
• 7+ years of previous sales/marketing experience with new media industry exposure
Professional
• 5+ years in progressive client-facing role
• Experience in interactive or similar high-tech field preferred
• Proven track record of effectively selling to corporate clients and C-level stakeholders
• Ability to quickly become expert in client’s business issues, industry and organizational challenges
• Natural ability to apply creativity and innovation to open doors at new companies
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, sales, negotiations and writing skills
• Confident demeanor with strong leadership and organizational skills
• Well organized, efficient, energetic and results-oriented nature
• Collaborative, high-energy team player approach that inspires the team to do their best work
