Procurement Manager Job Category : Procurement - Purchasing Job Location : Stratford, Connecticut Recruitment Enhancement Services is recruiting for a Procurement Manager on behalf of a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of military and commercial helicopters. Job Description   We are seeking an experienced Operations/Supply Chain candidate with strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships while exceeding customer expectations. Job Requirements   Specific roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Ensure PPV, MRP and PPM goals are met and maintained at the ACE Gold level. Meet Product Center/Program financial plan and Spares plan commitment. - Develop and execute strategic supplier initiatives including cost HIAT projects, capacity expansion projects and working capital improvement projects. - Negotiate supplier agreement terms and conditions and pricing arrangements. Have top 80% of spend LTA. - Lead supplier capacity, fact find and issue resolution efforts for the Commodities managed in the Center/Program including the development of key Low Cost Sources and Small Disadvantaged businesses. - Develop and implement Supplier Gold plans for the top 60% of spend on 2010, 80% in 2011. - Develop and lead supplier cost savings and lean initiative projects. - Address significant supplier issues and manage supplier performance data. - Develop and implement RCCA plans for significant supplier issues and poorly performing suppliers, including supplier rationalization strategies as appropriate. - Train and develop staff of supply management professionals, including attainment of ACE Certification for all associates. BA/BS degree w/5-10+ years experience MA/MS degree w/5-10+ years experience Operations/Supply Chain management or related aerospace procurement experience required.
