Recruitment Enhancement Services is currently recruiting for Heat Exchanger Mfg Development Engineer for one of the world's largest solution provider of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment for commercial, residential and transportation applications. We have opportunities in Syracuse, NY.
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing & implementing state-of-art, cost effective, robust and reliable manufacturing & assembly technology for current heat exchanger designs and advanced heat exchanger technologies for the company. He/She will be a key member of a core R&D team who will work closely with divisional engineering, R&D groups, and other internal and external key partners to prove feasibility, develop, specify and implement improved tools, equipment & technologies. Emphasis will be placed on a balanced approach employing a complimentary blend of both analytical and structured experimental methods.
* Benchmark, develop, validate, and implement optimum heat exchanger fabrication processes parameters by leveraging internal and external capabilities and resources.
* Develop standard work, best practices, procedures and equipment specifications according to optimized parameters, working closely with Business Units, suppliers and the R&D groups.
* Design, specification, qualification and implementation of new fabrication/manufacturing processes including machine design and fabrication. Demonstrate new equipment and new processes capabilities using statistical process control tools.
Job Requirements
* BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
* Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years preferred of production and manufacturing experience in heat exchanger fabrication
* Production or Manufacturing Engineering Leadership experience a plus
* Automation experience desired but not required.
The ideal candidate will have heat exchanger experience preferably either automotive or commerical experience.
* Hands-on and can-do, self motivated individual, capable of communicating with all levels of the organization, especially with factory production resources.
* Familiarity with production systems and related machinery and processes common to HVAC&R products. Typical high volume manufacturing processes experience a plus (machining, bulk deformation, welding, joining, brazing)
* Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally in support of various manufacturing programs for short periods at a time.
* Good communication, project presentation and organization skills
* Computer literate
